Swartland Ostriches
Swartland Ostriches was established on 16th October 1996 and boast a modern ostrich Abattoir which complies with European Union Standards.
Jointly owned by 96 ostrich producers and an established meat producer and packer in the Western Cape region of South Africa, the abattoir has an annual capacity of 33 000 birds.
With producers being joint owners of the abattoir, throughout is constant and a high degree of competitiveness and pride of product ensures quality birds. The direct link from the farm through to the abattoir allows monitoring of quality throughout the process, thus resulting in first rate products.
